Read the shell
A QB read trainer for 7v7 flag. You’re behind center, and the defense shows you two high safeties almost every snap. Each play freezes twice: first to name the coverage they actually rotated into, then to make the throw.
Your rules
Count the safeties after the snap: a two-high look before the snap means nothing until you see where they go. Two stay high is Cover 2. One spins to the middle is Cover 3 or Cover 1.
Beating Cover 2: attack the sideline hole at 12 to 18 yards between the corner and the safety, and the seam between the two safeties.
Smash and flood: read the corner. If he squats low, throw behind him. If he sinks, throw in front of him.
Four verticals: read the safety. If he widens to the sideline, throw the seam. If he sits on the seam, throw the go.
Cover 3: one safety can’t cover two seams. Throw the seam he’s leaning away from.
Cover 1 man: find your best matchup, away from the deep safety, and lead your receiver away from the defender trailing him.
